We were elated to receive this picture from our friends at Canada’s 911 Ride from a special visit they made to one of our Mikey’s Kids families.

Canada’s 911 Ride is an annual police escorted motorcycle ride to raise funds and awareness for the foundation’s causes. This includes helping families of fallen emergency service personnel, helping children who were victims of violent crimes, as well as working in conjunction with The Mikey Network to make public defibrillators more readily available to help save lives.

When this year’s 911 Ride Atlantic Region roared through PEI, they made a very special stop to visit Jack, who is one of our Mikey’s Kids. Like all of our Mikey’s Kids, Jack carries his MIKEY (AED) everywhere he goes (it’s in the backpack pictured above).

Canada’s 911 Ride is a long-time Mikey Network supporter. Over the years we have been able to provide close to 100 MIKEY AEDs through donations totaling almost $200,000. We appreciate all they do to support us and really appreciate them making Jack’s day like this.

This year the Ontario ride is August 26-27. If you ride a motorcycle you don’t want to miss this amazing police escorted ride. Learn more and register on the Canada’s 911 Ride website.
