2015 Ryerson Mikey Awards

Congratulations to the 2014-2015 Mikey Network Award recipients at the Ryerson University School of Nutrition: Kerry Miller and Robyn Nagel.

The Mikey Network Awards are presented annually to students in the Nutrition and Food program at Ryerson University. These awards were established to provide financial assistance and recognize academic excellence and a commitment to the promotion of nutrition to prevent chronic heart diseases.

In their own words:

Robin Nagel Ryerson Mikey AwardRobyn’s Thank You:

This award was very helpful in regards to paying tuition. I am very devoted to school and work very hard to excel. Thank you for investing in my education. Affording tuition is very difficult, however the results of receiving an education are so significant. I would like to tell the donor that their contribution is very greatly appreciated and that they will be proud with what they have helped me accomplish now and in my future.

Kerry Miller Ryerson Mikey AwardKerry’s Thank You:

These awards helped me in alleviating the financial stresses associated with being a student. They also allowed me to focus on maintaining my academic status while still having time to commit to my volunteer roles. If I had the opportunity to meet the award donors I would thank them for their commitment to furthering opportunities for undergraduate students. The financial aid allows keen students the flexibility (time and finance-wise) to explore what they are passionate about in their area of study. I would also thank them for the recognition of our hard work and dedication in reaching exceptional academic achievements.
