Hodgson Senior P.S. receives AED thanks to Team Mikey members Jay, Cayla and friends
Jay and Cayla, close friends of The Mikey Network, started an amazing fundraising initiative a few months ago. They asked friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances to help them reach their goal of funding a MIKEY defibrillator for placement in a public space. They were inspired by #FeedTheDeed, an online campaign to encourage random acts of kindness.
We’re happy to announce that MIKEY has now been placed! The lucky recipient of this MIKEY defibrillator is Hodgson Senior Public School on Davisville Avenue in Toronto, Ontario.
Thank you to Jay and Cayla, along with all their friends and family, for helping to accomplish this amazing goal! The staff, students, volunteers and visitors of Hodgson Senior P.S. will feel much safer knowing that a MIKEY is on hand in the case of a sudden cardiac arrest incident.
